MHC Welcomes Senior Philanthropic Advisor Matt Wawro

The Museum of the Horseless Carriage Board of Trustees is excited to welcome aboard Matt Wawro of Philanthropic Partners LLC as our new Senior Philanthropic Advisor. Matt comes to the Museum of the Horseless Carriage with an extensive background in fundraising and development for educational and non-profit organizations spanning more than 25 years, giving him an outstanding foundation from which to lead the philanthropic initiatives for the Museum of the Horseless Carriage.

Mr. Wawro served at the University of Michigan, Harvard University, Cranbrook Schools, Karma’s Cancer Institute, and Ford Historic Estates in various development roles including most recently leading a $50 Million capital & endowment campaign, along with establishing a strong stream of giving for the new start-up performing arts center; The Great Lakes Center for the Arts in Bar Harbor, Michigan. He earned his bachelor’s degree from the University of Michigan and his MSA from Central Michigan University. As of May 1st, 2023 Mr. Wawro became a private consultant in his own right, using his years of experience in establishing Philanthropic Advisors LLC. Mr. Wawro will work alongside Museum of the Horseless Carriage president, Matt Goist, to re-establish our capital campaign, strengthen communication with MHC supporters, and work toward our vision becoming a reality.

Most recently, Mr. Wawro was able to attend the MHC Celebration of Brass IV where he was able to meet many of our dedicated supporters and become even more familiar with our mission. Matt Wawro is well under way establishing a new approach to our fundraising goals and we are excited to be working together.

If you have questions or comments involving the Museum of the Horseless carriage capital campaign, or would like more information on how you can get involved, Matt can be reached at mwawro@museumofthehorselesscarriage.org or at 313-418-6086. Welcome aboard Matt!
