Following the Celebration of Brass IV Show/Events & Pre-WWI Swap Meet is the 2.5-day Museum of the Horseless Carriage HCCA National Tour with ALL NEW venues and routes!
Sunday, July 21st (Approximately 80 miles)
We will be visiting Leila Arboretum for our coffee stop. This gorgeous destination is a horticulturist and outdoor enthusiast’s dream on over 70 acres. Next we will travel through the beautiful Michigan countryside to Cornwell’s Turkeyville. This unique place will be having an Arts & Crafts Show on its grounds during our time there as well as further shopping opportunities in the huge Country Junction Gift Shop. It is also where we will be having our included buffet lunch. Then it’s off to the Galesburg Speedway where you will have the option to drive on their quarter mile, paved, semi-banked, oval track! NOTE: You may attend just the Sunday tour if you wish. You can also sign up for the track experience without going on the tour. See the eligibility requirements below.
Monday, July 22nd (Approximately 115 miles)
Our second day’s coffee stop will be at Tillers International. This farm transports you back in time by teaching the historical skills of working with draft animals, blacksmithing, and woodworking. Next we go to a private museum owned by Bill McDaniels. Highlights of his collection are cars (of course), motorcycles, a model train layout, and more. There is a vintage gas station just down the street for a great photo op. Our included lunch will be a real treat at Melvin Hostetler’s farm where we’ll be served an Amish family-style homemade meal. On the way back to Hickory Corners, there will be an optional ice cream stop at the Chicken House.
Tuesday, July 23rd Half day. (Approximately 55 miles)
Our journey will take us to E. Leet Woodworking for our coffee stop. This company does custom design and fabrication of unique and specialized wood products with the use of 2D and 3D machining. Then we will continue on to Duncan Aviation. This is a full-service MRO (maintenance, repair, and overhaul) facility for jet airplanes located at the Battle Creek Executive Airport at Kellogg Field. Lunch is on your own today. We will pass antique shops and an opportunity for ice cream along the scenic return trip to the Gilmore Car Museum.
Whether you are a returning tourist, or this is your first time, we are happy that you are coming on the tour! Here is important information to help plan your trip and to complete the online registration and complete the payment process.
